I believe that every child is capable of doing more than we can imagine. We only need to give them choices. Children need time, space and choice to explore the world around them. They need the support of adults throughout the day. I am always ready to support them in their activities. Finding a child’s strength and uniqueness is my main goal in the beginning weeks, so in the end, I can address each child by his/her needs. I interact freely with them, letting them play and explore. I believe that “play” itself, is an important part of children, a reflection of their growth, the essence of a child’s life, and a window into a child’s world. It is a self-satisfying activity through which children gain control and come to understand life. That is why I let them learn by playing. Its important to understand that the development which occurs during those first years, lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning. My associate degree in early childhood helped me to understand all of this, and now, I am just putting my knowledge into practice.
